Michael Taylor

Founder, Korerium LLC

Michael grew up in the Pacific Northwest and spent decades building deep, hands-on expertise in software development, data systems, and server administration. His technical foundation began with early programming languages and evolved through years of real-world systems work.

He later returned to academia and earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Portland State University, focusing on spatial data, remote sensing, and geographic intelligence. This training sharpened his ability to collect, layer, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. Those exact skills now inform how Korerium designs secure, privacy-first products.

This rare combination of long-term systems engineering and specialized geospatial thinking drives every decision. Michael approaches privacy as a fundamental systems problem: one that demands the same precision and care used when handling sensitive spatial information, rather than treating it as a legal checkbox or marketing claim.

Michael and his wife Hyesun live on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell, Louisiana. When they are not working, they enjoy traveling and discovering memorable views. Hyesun keeps the two of them well-fed with excellent Korean cooking, and they both love exploring new places and cuisines.

Korerium exists because strong privacy should not require specialized technical knowledge. Everyone deserves tools that operate quietly, completely, and entirely in their favor, built on secure and thoughtful data handling.

What We Don’t Do

We do not collect your data beyond what is needed to deliver your license. We do not sell subscriptions to features that should be standard. We do not build tools that require you to trust a server you cannot see. Your name and email are used once, to get your license key to you, and nothing more. If you want software that works entirely on your terms, you are in the right place.

About the Name

Korerium (kor-EER-ee-um) is a coined name built around a simple idea. The root draws from the concept of a core, something central, essential, and protected. The suffix mirrors the naming conventions of elements and compounds, suggesting something that is stable, precise, and fundamental by nature. Together the name reflects what the company is built to do: protect what is at the core of your digital life. Your files, your activity, your data. Not stored elsewhere. Not shared. Not compromised.
